The next United States of America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, going from Boston to Capital DC, lies Huge City One - a vast, violent cities where crooks rule the helter skelter streets. The alone power of order lies with the urban cops named "Judges" who have the compounded powers of judge, jury and instant public executioner. Known and dreaded throughout the city, Dredd is the ultimate Judge, gainsaid with disembarrassing the city of its recent scourge - a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of "Slo-Mo" experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed. During a routine day working, Dredd is assigned to train and measure Cassandra Anderson, a cub with knock down psychic powers thanks to a mutation. A flagitious crime calls them to a region where dude Book of Judges seldom dare to venture - a 200 storey vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug baron Ma-Ma and her ruthless clan. When they capture one of the clan's coterie, Ma-Ma overtakes the chemical compound's control center and wages a unclean, evil war against the Judges that rises she will stop at not anything to protect her imperium. With the body count going up and no outlet, Dredd and Sherwood Anderson must face the odds and prosecute in the persistent battle for their endurance.
